Born in Canada, Shayne has been a motivational force since he was a baby. He contracted meningococcal septicemia when he was only four months old. This battle led to the amputations of his legs, left hand and a few fingers on his right hand. Shayne faced seemingly insurmountable challenges before his life truly began. In spite of it all, Shayne found a way to overcome. He played wheelchair basketball, rugby and is a motivational speaker. He expresses “I can do anything. I believe in myself and anyone around me who goes through the same challenges. If we are given a chance if we are given a shot… we can run with it. No matter our abilities.”
